Juliette Lake Lewis (born June 21, 1973) is an American actress and singer. She is famous for playing unique characters in movies. Juliette Lewis became well-known in the early 1990s. She has received many honors, including nominations for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award. She also has two Primetime Emmy Awards nominations.
Juliette is the daughter of actor Geoffrey Lewis. She started acting on TV when she was 14. Her first movie was My Stepmother Is an Alien (1988). She then got bigger roles in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989) and Martin Scorsese's Cape Fear (1991). For Cape Fear, she was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.

Early Roles and First Success
After a small, uncredited role in Bronco Billy (1980), Juliette Lewis had her first main TV appearance in Home Fires (1987). Critics praised her performance in this film. She then played Kate Farrell in the ABC TV show I Married Dora (1987–1988).
Lewis had a small part in the movie My Stepmother Is an Alien (1988). She played Lexie, the best friend of the main character. Her first big supporting role was as Audrey Griswold in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989). This movie is now a holiday classic. Juliette Lewis gained international attention for her role as Danielle Bowden in Martin Scorsese's 1991 movie Cape Fear. She was chosen for the role over 500 other actresses. She also had a supporting role in Gaudi Afternoon (2001). Next, she played a supportive best friend in the thriller Enough (2002).
Lewis was nominated for an Emmy and an Independent Spirit Award for her role in the 2002 TV movie Hysterical Blindness. She then appeared in Cold Creek Manor (2003) and the music video for HIM's "Buried Alive By Love". She also played Heidi in the comedy Old School (2003).

Personal Life
Juliette Lewis was born into Scientology. She started practicing it in the 1990s. By 2021, she said she was moving away from Scientology. She told The New York Times that she is a spiritualist and does not identify as a Scientologist.
Lewis married professional skateboarder Steve Berra in September 1999. She filed for divorce in April 2003. Lewis said the divorce was friendly.
Lewis has supported Little Kids Rock. This is a group that helps bring music education back to schools. She painted a guitar and donated it to an auction to raise money for the organization.
