Justin Robinson was born on March 30, 2002. He is an American sprinter. He is best known for running the 400 meters race.
In June 2019, Justin set a new record. He ran the 400 meters in 44.84 seconds. This was the fastest time ever for a boy under 18 years old. He also became the champion at the 2019 Pan American Under-20 Championships in the 400 meters.
Justin helped his team set a new world record. They won the 4x400 meters relay race. His team finished in 2 minutes and 59.30 seconds. Justin ran his part of the race in an amazing 43.7 seconds.
He has also won other medals. At the 2019 Pan American Games, he earned a bronze medal in the 400 meters. He also won a silver medal in the 4x400 meters relay. In 2018, he won a silver medal at the World Under-20 Championships in the 4x400 meters relay.
Justin Robinson's Early Life and Career
Justin Robinson's amazing speed was first noticed when he was in high school. He won a footrace against his cousin. His cousin then told him about track and field. This is how Justin started his journey in the sport.
On June 8, 2019, Justin set a new world record for young athletes. He ran the 400 meters in 44.84 seconds. This was the fastest 400-meter time for an American high school student since 1982.
In 2018, Justin competed at the World Under-20 Championships. This event took place in Tampere, Finland. He won a silver medal there. He was part of the men's 4x400 meters relay team.
Justin graduated from Hazelwood West High School in May 2020. He then decided to attend Arizona State University.
His 2020 running season was shorter than usual. This was because of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, in his only 400-meter race that year, he ran it in 44.91 seconds. This was the fastest time in the world for that year.
