Kävlinge is a town in Sweden, located in Skåne County. It is the main town, or "seat," of Kävlinge Municipality. In 2021, about 32,341 people lived there.
In 1996, a train accident happened in Kävlinge. A train carrying a lot of ammonia went off its tracks. About 9,000 people living nearby had to leave their homes for safety. This was the largest evacuation ever in Swedish history.

Ancient History of Kävlinge
Near Kävlinge, you can find an old burial site called the Hög passage grave. This site includes a large mound from the Bronze Age. Underneath the mound is a burial chamber from the Neolithic period, which is even older.
