Kabyai Creek, also known as Kaibai Creek, is a small stream. It flows into the McCloud River. This river is located in Shasta County, California. You can find Kabyai Creek near the McCloud Bridge Campground. This area is part of the Shasta–Trinity National Forest.

A Look Back in Time

Kabyai Creek has an important history. The place where the creek meets the McCloud River was once home to a village. This village belonged to the Winnemem Wintu people. On August 17, 1854, the village experienced a conflict. A group of white settlers attacked the village. This event is known as the Kabyai Creek Massacre. It is a sad part of the area's past.
