Kamal Givens, known by his nickname Chance, is an American reality TV star and rapper. He was born on March 25, 1981, in Los Angeles, California. Chance became well-known for appearing on popular VH1 reality shows. These included I Love New York season 1 and I Love Money season 1. He also starred in his own dating show, Real Chance of Love, with his brother Ahmad, who was known as "Real".

Early Life and Music
Kamal Givens grew up in South Central Los Angeles. He was the second of four children. His parents were Claudia and Robert Givens.
Chance and his brothers, Ahmad, Micah, and Sean, were raised on a horse ranch. Chance, Ahmad, and Micah were part of a rap group. They called themselves the Stallionaires, a name that came from their home on the ranch.
Chance's TV Career
Chance and his brother Ahmad were found by VH1 casting producers in 2006. The producers saw their profiles on Myspace. This led to their first big TV appearance.
Reality Show Beginnings
The brothers became contestants on the VH1 reality show I Love New York season 1. This show was like The Bachelor. It followed Tiffany "New York" Pollard as she looked for love. Chance was a strong competitor and finished as the runner-up. He was eliminated in the 11th episode.
Chance also made a short appearance on the second season of I Love New York. In 2008, he and Ahmad joined I Love Money season 1. This show brought back contestants from other VH1 dating shows. They competed in challenges to win a $250,000 prize. Chance was eliminated in the 6th episode.
Starring in His Own Show
In 2008, VH1 announced that Chance and his brother Ahmad (Real) would have their own dating show. It was called Real Chance of Love. The show started on October 20, 2008. Seventeen women tried to win the brothers' affection. They were split into two teams: the "Chance" girls and the "Real" girls. In the first season's finale, Chance did not choose anyone. He said he was not ready to fall in love.
The show returned for a second season in 2009. This time, there were 20 new contestants. In the second season, Chance chose Kamille "Hot Wings" Leai as his winner.
A spin-off show called Real and Chance: The Legend Hunters aired on VH1 in September 2010. In this show, Chance and Real went on adventures. They searched for mythical creatures.
Recent TV Appearances
In 2016, Chance appeared on the TV One series The Next :15. He played a friend of Tiffany Pollard.
In August 2020, it was announced that Chance would star in a new reality dating show. It was titled One Mo' Chance. This show premiered on the Zeus Network streaming service. A second season of One Mo' Chance debuted on September 29, 2021.
Personal Life
In November 2017, Chance had an unusual experience. He was attacked by a monkey while filming a documentary in Thailand.
