Kamshat Donenbaeva (Kazakh: Кәмшат Байғазықызы Дөненбаева; born September 15, 1943 – died November 9, 2017) was a famous farm worker from Kazakhstan. She was also a politician who served as a deputy (like a representative) in the Supreme Soviet from 1974 to 1989. She was recognized for working very hard and producing a lot. She received the Order of Lenin twice and was named a Hero of Socialist Labour in 1975.

Early Life and Education
Kamshat Donenbaeva was born on September 15, 1943. Her hometown was Leninskoye, which is now called Uzunkol. This area is in the Kostanay Region of what was then the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic.
When she was just fourteen years old, Kamshat started working. She worked at a place called the Demyanovsky grain elevator. At the same time, she took classes to learn about mechanics. In 1961, she finished her studies at the Kostanai Agricultural College. She graduated as an equipment operator, ready to work with farm machinery.
A Career in Farming
Donenbaeva began her career as a tractor driver. She worked on a large farm called "Kharkov". Within just one year, she started setting amazing records. She became known for how much land she could plow with her Belarus-style tractor.
In 1962, she plowed 1,018 hectares of land. This was much more than her goal of 720 hectares! She also helped test new farm equipment. She worked with many different types of tractors, like the MTZ-5 and K-700. The Kirovets K-700 tractor was even designed especially for her. She was the first person to test this new machine.
Every year, Kamshat plowed one and a half to two times more land than she was asked to. In 1972, she won first place in a regional plowing contest. She also took third place in a national competition. Because of her hard work, she received the Order of Lenin award in December 1972. The next year, she won the top prize at a big competition in Zernograd.
Political Role and Later Years
In 1974, Kamshat Donenbaeva was chosen to be a delegate. This meant she represented her region in the Kostanay Regional Council. She also became a deputy in the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. This was a very important role in the government.
The next year, she received another Order of Lenin. She was also given the title of Hero of Socialist Labour. In 1976, she received the Order of the Badge of Honour. She was re-elected as a deputy three times and served until 1989.
While doing all this, she also raised four children. For five years, from 1980 to 1985, she was the deputy chair of the Soviet of Nationalities. This was another important leadership role.
In 1990, she became a safety engineer at the Kharkov farm. Three years later, she became the overseer until she retired. In 2002, after she retired, she made a special trip called The Hajj to Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
In 2015, Kamshat Donenbaeva was honored as a national heroine. This happened during the International Day of Older Persons celebrations. Important leaders like the Akim (governor) of the Kostanay Region and the Akim of the City of Kostanay recognized her achievements.
Death and Legacy
Kamshat Donenbaeva passed away on November 9, 2017, in Kostanay. Her funeral was held at the Mosque in Kostanay.
In September 2018, a special event was held to remember her. It took place at the regional House of Friendship. During this event, it was announced that a book about her life was being written. Kamshat Donenbaeva is remembered as a dedicated worker and an inspiring leader.
