Kandota Township is a small community located in Todd County, Minnesota, in the United States. In the year 2000, about 679 people lived there. This township was officially started in 1870.

Geography of Kandota Township

Kandota Township covers a total area of about 24.1 square miles (62.4 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 21.8 square miles (56.4 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 2.4 square miles (6.2 square kilometers), is water. This means nearly 10% of the township is covered by water.

According to the census taken in 2000, there were 679 people living in Kandota Township. These people lived in 237 households, and 188 of these were families. The township had about 31.2 people per square mile (12.0 people per square kilometer).

Most of the people in the township, about 99.71%, were White. A small number, 0.15%, were Asian. Another 0.15% were from other racial backgrounds. About 0.44% of the population identified as Hispanic or Latino.
