Kanybek Abdouvassitovitch Isakov (Kyrgyz: Каныбек Абдуваситович Исаков) was an important person from Kyrgyzstan. He was born on June 4, 1969, and passed away on November 12, 2020. Kanybek Isakov was both a politician and a university professor. He is well-known for serving as the Minister of Education and Science in his country.

About Kanybek Isakov
Kanybek Isakov started his career as a professor. In 1993, he became a professor of philology at Osh State University. Philology is the study of language and literature. He worked hard and moved up in the university.
His Work in Education
He spent many years at Osh State University. In 2011, he became the Rector of the university. The Rector is like the president or head of a university. He led Osh State University until 2019. During his time in education, he also worked as the Editor-in-Chief for a newspaper called Nur.
Becoming a Government Minister
In 2019, Kanybek Isakov took on a new role. He was appointed the Minister of Education and Science for all of Kyrgyzstan. He started this important job on September 11, 2019. As Minister, he worked on a plan to create better textbooks. These new textbooks were especially for the Kyrgyz language. This was a big step to improve learning for students.
In 2020, there were some changes in the government of Kyrgyzstan. Because of these changes, the government leadership was updated. Kanybek Isakov was then replaced by a new Minister, Almazbek Beichenaliev.
Later Life and Passing
Kanybek Isakov passed away in Bishkek, the capital city of Kyrgyzstan. He died on November 12, 2020, when he was 51 years old. He died after getting COVID-19.
