Fighting for Equal Rights

While she was at university, Karen Syberg became very involved in the movement for women's rights. In 1970, she helped create the Danish Red Stocking Movement. This group was important because it worked to make sure women had the same rights and chances as men in society. They wanted fairness in things like jobs, education, and family life.

Karen also helped set up a special place called the women's camp on an island called Femø in 1971. This camp was a place where women could gather, share ideas, and support each other in their fight for equality. It was a safe space for women to discuss their experiences and plan how to make changes in the world.
