Playing for Clubs
Starting at Silkeborg IF
Kasper Dolberg made his first professional appearance for Silkeborg IF on 17 May 2015. This was in a Danish Superliga game against Brøndby IF. He came into the game as a substitute in the 63rd minute.
Time at Ajax
On 5 January 2015, the Dutch club Ajax announced that Dolberg would join them in the summer. He was 17 years old at the time. He signed a three-year contract that would last until summer 2018. A Danish scout named John Steen Olsen discovered him. This scout also found other famous players like Zlatan Ibrahimović and Christian Eriksen. On 13 May 2016, Dolberg extended his contract with Ajax until 2021.
On 26 July 2016, Dolberg scored his first goal in a European competition. This was his first official game for Ajax. It was a Champions League qualification match against PAOK, and the game ended in a 1–1 draw. He played his first Eredivisie game for Ajax on 7 August 2016. He came on as a substitute against Sparta Rotterdam. The next week, he started a league match against Roda JC. He scored both of Ajax's goals in that game, which ended in a 2–2 draw. He also scored a goal in his first Klassieker game against Ajax's big rival Feyenoord on 23 October 2016. This goal helped Ajax get a 1–1 draw away from home. On 20 November 2016, he scored three goals in the first half of an Eredivisie match against NEC. Scoring a hat-trick made him the youngest non-Dutch player ever to do so for Ajax. On 9 March 2017, Dolberg scored a goal that tied the game against F.C. Copenhagen in the Europa League. This goal ended Copenhagen's record of not letting in any goals at their home stadium for eight months.
Moving to Nice
Dolberg joined Nice in the French league, Ligue 1, on 29 August 2019. The transfer cost 20.5 million euros. He was the top scorer for Nice in his first season in France, scoring 11 goals. After leaving Sevilla, Dolberg was loaned to Bundesliga team TSG Hoffenheim in Germany. He joined them on 2 January 2023 for the rest of the 2022–23 season.
