About Katchewanooka Lake
Katchewanooka Lake is an important part of the Trent-Severn Waterway. This waterway is a famous system of canals and lakes. It connects Lake Ontario to Georgian Bay. Water flows into Katchewanooka Lake from Stony Lake. From Katchewanooka Lake, the water then flows into the Otonabee River.
Where the Water Goes
The Otonabee River continues its journey southwest. It passes through Little Lake in the city of Peterborough. Eventually, the river flows into Rice Lake. This whole system helps boats travel across Ontario. It also helps manage water levels.
Life Around the Lake
