Kate Lamb (born January 18, 1988) is an actress from Wales. She is well-known for playing Nurse Delia Busby in the popular BBC TV show Call the Midwife. She was part of the show from 2015 to 2017.

Early Life

Kate Lamb was born in Cardiff, Wales. She grew up in a town called Tenby in Pembrokeshire. She went to Greenhill School there. Kate started acting when she was just four years old. Her very first role was in a play called Toad of Toad Hall, performed in Tenby.

Education

After finishing school, Kate Lamb went to the United World College in Swaziland. Later, she came back to the UK. She studied English and Drama at Bristol University. She also trained to be an actress at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).

Career

Kate Lamb successfully tried out for her role in Call the Midwife. When she was asked to choose an accent for her character, Nurse Delia Busby, she decided to use a Pembrokeshire accent, like where she grew up.

In the show, her character, Delia, had an accident where she was knocked off her bicycle. This made her future on the show uncertain. However, Kate returned to her role in December 2015. In May 2017, it was announced that Kate Lamb would not be returning for the show's seventh season.
