Later, Kate studied at the Waterford Kamhlaba United World College in Eswatini (formerly Swaziland). After that, she came back to the UK. She went to Bristol University to study English and Drama. She also trained to be an actress at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
