Kate Reinders (born December 10, 1980) is an American actress and singer. She has starred in many Broadway shows. She also played roles in TV shows and movies.
Kate is well-known for playing Miss Jenn in the Disney+ musical series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. This show ran from 2019 to 2023. She also played Portia in the Broadway musical Something Rotten!. For this role, she was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album in 2016.

Kate's Acting Journey
Starting on Broadway
Kate Reinders began her Broadway career in 2001. Her first show was The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. She was a "swing" and an understudy. This means she learned many roles and could step in if an actor was absent. She covered characters like Amy Lawrence and Becky Thatcher.
Next, she joined the musical Into the Woods in 2002. Again, she was an understudy for several main characters. These included Cinderella and Little Red Riding Hood.
First Starring Roles
In 2003, Kate got her first main role. She played June in the Broadway show Gypsy. Later, in 2005, she played Caroline in the musical Good Vibrations. This show used popular songs.
Playing Glinda in Wicked
One of Kate's most famous roles was Glinda the Good Witch. She played Glinda in the Chicago production of Wicked starting in 2005. She acted alongside Ana Gasteyer, who played Elphaba. Kate was nominated for an award for this role.
In 2006, Kate moved to the Broadway production of Wicked. She took over the role of Glinda from Megan Hilty. While on Broadway, she even sang "Popular" from Wicked on the TV show Jeopardy!. She finished her run as Glinda in January 2007.
Other TV and Stage Work
Kate has appeared in various other projects. She was in a play called The Fabulous Life of a Size Zero in 2007. She also had a recurring role as Ginger on the TV series Ugly Betty. From 2009, she was a regular character named Paula Morgan on the Lifetime show Sherri.
She also voiced the character Jezebel in the video game Saints Row: Gat out of Hell.
Something Rotten! and Recent Roles
In 2015, Kate Reinders created the role of Portia in the Broadway musical Something Rotten!. This show was a comedy. She performed in it until July 2016.
More recently, Kate was a standby for a role in the play Meteor Shower on Broadway. In 2018, she joined the Broadway show Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. She played Cynthia Weil in that production.
Since 2019, Kate has been playing Miss Jenn in the popular Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. She was a main character for seasons 1, 2, and 4, and a guest star in season 3.
Kate's Life Outside Acting
Kate Reinders was born in Seattle, Washington. In May 2016, she married fellow actor Andrew Samonsky. They welcomed their son, Luke, in 2017.
