Katherine Barrell is a talented Canadian actress, writer, producer, and director. She is well-known for playing Sheriff Nicole Haught in the TV show Wynonna Earp. This show is a supernatural weird West series on Syfy. In 2020, Katherine also joined the cast of the fantasy comedy-drama series Good Witch, where she played the character Joy Harper.

About Katherine Barrell
Her Early Life and Education
Katherine Barrell was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Her mother is from Slovenia. Katherine went to Assumption Catholic Secondary School in Burlington, Ontario. There, she had main roles in two school plays. She also worked with a friend to write, direct, and act in their own play.
She directed her high school's play The Wizard of Oz. Katherine was also part of the Burlington Student Theatre for two years. She first studied musical theatre at Sheridan College. Later, she moved to George Brown College to study filmmaking and acting. She graduated from the School of Media & Performing Arts in 2010. She also trained at The Groundlings comedy school.
Her Acting Career
Katherine Barrell has appeared in many TV shows and movies. She was in TV films like Poe (2011) and Girls Night Out (2017). She also made guest appearances in popular shows. These include Lost Girl (2012), Murdoch Mysteries (2012, 2014), and Saving Hope (2015). Besides her role in Wynonna Earp, she also had a recurring role as Alicia Rutherford in Workin' Moms.
In movies, Katherine played Jaqueline Gill in The Scarehouse (2014). She was also Mary in My Ex-Ex (2015) and Victoria Burns in Definition of Fear (2015).
Working Behind the Scenes
Katherine Barrell also has her own production company. It was first called Kit Media and later became Blue Eyed Bandit in 2018. Her company has produced several short films. Her comedy short film Issues (2013) was even named one of the top short films of the year by film critic Richard Crouse.
Her film Dissecting Gwen was based on her own story. It won the Best Screenplay Award in 2017 from Women in Film & Television – Toronto. It also won Best Comedy Short at the 2017 Canadian Diversity Film Festival.

Katherine Barrell supports the "Pink Box Program" by GIRL TALK Empowerment. This Canadian group helps and inspires girls to make a positive difference in the world.
Her Family Life
Katherine is married to actor Ray Galletti. They met while working on the movie My Ex-Ex. They got engaged in 2016 and were married in 2017.
Katherine and Ray have two children. Their son, Ronin Barrell Galletti, was born on September 8, 2021. Their daughter, Celeste Monique Barrell Galletti, was born on May 21, 2024.
