Kathleen O'Malley (born March 31, 1924 – died February 25, 2019) was an American actress. She appeared in many movies and TV shows. Her dad, Pat O'Malley, was also an actor.
Kathleen started acting when she was very young. She was only 13 months old when she first appeared in a silent movie! This was in 1926, in a western film called My Old Dutch. She acted alongside her father and her sister, Sheila.
Kathleen O'Malley had a very long career, lasting for seven decades. She was in popular films like Cover Girl and Two Tickets to Broadway. She also appeared in famous TV shows such as Gunsmoke, Maverick, Rawhide, and Leave it to Beaver. Her last acting role was in 1998.

Kathleen O'Malley was born in Worcester, Massachusetts. Her father, Pat O'Malley, was a well-known actor. He performed in vaudeville shows, on stage, and in movies.
Kathleen made her very first movie appearance when she was just over a year old. This was in the film My Old Dutch, which came out in 1926. Her older sister, Sheila, also appeared in the movie. Kathleen and her two sisters, Eileen and Sheila, all worked in show business as children.

In 1943, Kathleen played a college girl in the movie Old Acquaintance. This film starred famous actresses like Bette Davis and Miriam Hopkins. The next year, in 1944, she was in Cover Girl. In this movie, she played a cigarette girl. The main stars of Cover Girl were Rita Hayworth and Gene Kelly.
In 1947, Kathleen played a character named Dolly in Down to Earth. Rita Hayworth also starred in this musical fantasy film. In 1949, Kathleen appeared in Ladies of the Chorus, which featured Marilyn Monroe.
Movies in the 1950s
Kathleen had an important role in the 1950 film Wagon Master, directed by John Ford. She played Prudence Perkins, a young Mormon girl. Her character caused some drama in the story!
In 1952, she played Mrs. Norton in One Minute to Zero. This was a Korean War film starring Robert Mitchum. She also appeared in Two Tickets to Broadway in 1951 as a showgirl.
Later Career: TV and Film
Kathleen O'Malley continued to act in both television and movies for many more years. She was in an episode of The Munsters in 1964.
In the 1970s, she appeared in several films, including Airport (1970) and Dirty Harry (1971). She also had a role in The Shootist (1976), which was one of John Wayne's last films. Kathleen also appeared in TV movies like Amelia Earhart (1976) and The Hunted Lady (1977).
She continued acting into the 1980s and 1990s. One of her later film roles was in Black Sheep in 1996. Her final acting credit was in the TV show Buddy Faro in 1998.
Personal Life
Kathleen O'Malley was married to James Maloney. He was also her agent, which means he helped manage her acting career. They had two sons, Sean (born in 1958) and Darren (born in 1960). James Maloney passed away in 1994.

Kathleen O'Malley passed away on February 25, 2019. She was 94 years old.
