Kathleen Wilhoite (born June 29, 1964) is an American actress and musician. She is known for her many roles in movies and TV shows. Kathleen started her film career in 1983 with the movie Private School. She also had a main role in Murphy's Law (1986). You might also recognize her from movies like Road House (1989) and Lorenzo's Oil (1992).
On TV, Kathleen played Chloe Lewis in the popular series ER starting in 1994. She also voiced the main character in the cartoon Pepper Ann from 1997 to 2000. Later, she played Liz Danes on Gilmore Girls starting in 2003. She has also appeared in shows like Criminal Minds (2008), Grey's Anatomy (2009), and Jane the Virgin (2015). In 2019, she was a guest star on the Netflix show The OA.

Kathleen Wilhoite was born on June 29, 1964, in Santa Barbara, California. From a young age, she loved acting. She started performing in plays with the Santa Barbara Youth Theatre when she was a child.
After high school, she went to the University of Southern California. She also studied acting at the famous Lee Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles. This helped her prepare for her acting career.

Starting Out in the 1980s and 1990s
Kathleen's first movie was Private School in 1983. In the same year, she was in a TV movie called Quarterback Princess. She also had guest roles on TV shows like The Jeffersons and Cagney & Lacey in 1985.
In 1986, she played a main character in the movie Murphy's Law. She also had a supporting role as a psychic in the horror film Witchboard. Kathleen also performed in plays in New York City. A critic from The New York Times praised her "frisky comic style."
She appeared in several movies during this time, including the comedy Crossing Delancey (1988) and the drama Lorenzo's Oil (1992). On TV, she was in David Lynch's series Twin Peaks in 1990.
From 1993 to 1994, Kathleen had a recurring role on the show L.A. Law. In 1994, she joined the cast of ER as Chloe Lewis. She played this role for eight years and even won an award for it in 1995. In movies, she was in Fire in the Sky (1993) and the adventure film The Edge (1997).
Voice Acting and More Roles (1997–2010)
One of Kathleen's most famous voice roles was the main character in the Disney cartoon series Pepper Ann. She voiced Pepper Ann from 1997 until the show ended in 2000.

Kathleen Wilhoite married musician David Harte in 1997. They have three children together. Their children are a son named James, a daughter named Ruby, and another son named Adu. Adu was adopted from Ethiopia by Kathleen and David in the early 2010s.
