Growing Up in Chicago
Katie grew up in a neighborhood called Bronzeville, located in the South Side of Chicago. She often says that her neighborhood inspires the stories and lyrics in her songs. When she was younger, some of her favorite rappers were Waka Flocka Flame, Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Lil Wayne. Before she became a rapper, Katie studied biology and pre-med at Truman College.

In July 2019, she released her first mixtape in four years, called Rebirth. In 2022, Katie was featured on a popular song by Nicki Minaj. It was called 'Super Freaky Girl: Queen Mix' and used a sample from Rick James' song 'Super Freak.'
