Katie's Early Life in Ireland
Katie grew up in Dublin, Ireland. From a young age, she learned to sing beautifully and play the harp. She even studied Italian and drama at Trinity College Dublin, a famous university.
Katie's Singing Career
Joining Anúna and Riverdance
In 1991, Katie joined a singing group called Anúna. She quickly became their main singer, leading the way with her voice.
A big moment came in 1994. Katie and Anúna performed as part of the Riverdance show during the Eurovision Song Contest. This performance was a huge hit!
In 1995, Katie became a part of "Riverdance: The Show." Even when Anúna left Riverdance in 1996, Katie stayed with the show. She toured for five years as their lead singer, performing all over the world.
Solo Albums and Shows
After leaving Riverdance, Katie started her own solo career. She released five albums, sharing her beautiful voice with fans. These albums include After the Morning, Shine, Celtic Christmas, St. Patrick's Day, and Christmas Angels.
