Kazuyoshi Mikami (三上 和良, Mikami Kazuyoshi, born 29 August 1975) is a former professional Japanese football player. He was born on August 29, 1975. Mikami played as a defender during his career. His younger brother, Takuya Mikami, also became a football player.

Kazuyoshi Mikami's Football Journey

Starting His Career

Kazuyoshi Mikami was born in Saitama, Japan. After finishing his studies at Komazawa University, he began his professional football career. In 1998, he joined Vissel Kobe, a club in the top Japanese league, J1 League. From his very first season, he played in many matches as a left side defender.

Moving to Different Clubs

In 2000, Mikami moved to Verdy Kawasaki. This move was a loan, meaning he played for them temporarily. He competed for his position with another player, Koichi Sugiyama, and played in many games.

In 2001, he went back to Vissel Kobe. However, he did not play in any matches that season. Later in July 2001, he moved to JEF United Ichihara. There, he played in several matches, often coming in as a substitute.

Later Career and Retirement

In 2002, Mikami joined Yokohama F. Marinos. He stayed with this team for two seasons. Even though he was part of the team, he did not play in many matches during this time.

By 2004, he moved to Oita Trinita. He started as a regular player, meaning he played in most games. But as the year went on, he played less often.

In 2005, Mikami joined Omiya Ardija. This club had just been promoted to the J1 League. It was special for him because Omiya Ardija is based in his hometown area. He played regularly at first. However, from late 2005, his playing time decreased again. He decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2006 season.
