Kee Taylor's Journey to Success
Kee Taylor grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She started her hair styling career as a teenager. In the mid-1990s, she braided hair from her mother's basement. Later, she became a stylist for famous people. She also worked at a salon called Philly Cuts.
In 2012, Kee began using social media to promote her work. She shared a special offer for hair extensions on Instagram. It was very popular. This success made her think about opening her own salon.
Opening Deeper Than Hair
Kee Taylor opened her salon, Deeper Than Hair, in April 2013. It is also located in West Philadelphia. She chose the name because she sees hair care as an art. Her salon focuses on treating natural afro-textured hair. Kee is known for styling natural hair into straight looks.

In 2020, Kee Taylor created a fun challenge. It was called #DMXChallenge. This challenge showed how many different ways Black women can style their hair.
