Kei Omoto (尾本 敬, Omoto Kei, born July 21, 1984) is a Japanese football player. He is a skilled defender who has played for several teams in Japan. Currently, he plays for Ococias Kyoto AC.

Kei Omoto's Football Journey
Kei Omoto started his football journey in high school. He played for Yachiyo High School from 2000 to 2002. This was where he developed his early skills in the sport.
Early Professional Career
After high school, Kei Omoto joined Yokohama F. Marinos in 2003. This is one of Japan's top football clubs. Even though he didn't play many games for the team, he was part of the squad that won the J1 League championship two times. They won in both 2003 and 2004. This was a great start to his professional career.
Playing in the J2 League
From 2006 to 2010, Omoto played for Thespa Kusatsu. He became a regular player for them in the J2 League, which is Japan's second-highest football division. He played in 97 matches and scored 6 goals during his time there.
He then moved to Mito HollyHock in 2011. He spent four seasons with this club, playing 116 games and scoring 4 goals. He was a key defender for them.
Moving to J3 League
In 2015, Kei Omoto joined Tochigi SC. He continued to play in the J2 League for a year before the team moved to the J3 League. He played 67 matches for Tochigi SC and scored 4 goals.
After that, he played for Blaublitz Akita from 2018 to 2019. He played 33 games and scored 1 goal for them.
Current Club
Since 2020, Kei Omoto has been playing for Ococias Kyoto AC. He continues to be an important player for his team.
