Kelly Jay Simm (born 23 April 1995) is an English gymnast. She is known for her amazing skills in artistic gymnastics.

In 2015, Kelly won the gold medal in the all-around competition at the 2015 Summer Universiade. She also earned a silver medal for vault and a bronze medal for floor exercise at the same event. Kelly represented England at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and helped her team win a gold medal. She also won a bronze medal with her team at the 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.

Kelly's Gymnastics Career

2014: Commonwealth Games Gold

In July 2014, Kelly competed at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. She was part of the England team that won the gold medal in the team competition. This was a big win for Kelly and her team.

2015: A Year of Medals

Kelly had a very successful year in 2015.

English and British Championships

In March 2015, Kelly competed at the English Gymnastics Championships. She finished third in the all-around competition. Later that month, she competed at the British Championships in Liverpool. She tied for fourth place in the all-around. Kelly also tied for second place in the vault final and tied for fourth in the floor final.

European Games Debut

Kelly was chosen to represent Great Britain at the first-ever European Games. She competed in the team final and individual qualification rounds. Kelly helped Team GB finish in eighth place. She also qualified for the all-around final, where she placed 11th. In the vault final, she finished sixth.

Summer Universiade Success

Kelly represented Great Britain at the 2015 Summer Universiade in South Korea. She had an outstanding performance. Kelly qualified for the all-around final in third place. She also made it to the vault, uneven bars, and floor exercise finals.

In the individual all-around final, Kelly won the gold medal! She also won a silver medal on vault and a bronze medal on floor exercise. She placed fourth on uneven bars.

2018: Commonwealth and World Championships

In April 2018, Kelly competed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. She was part of the England team that won a silver medal in the team final, finishing second to Canada.

Individually, Kelly placed fifth in the all-around competition. She also finished sixth in the uneven bars final. Kelly won a bronze medal on the balance beam, which was a great achievement.

Later that year, Kelly was chosen for the team to compete at the 2018 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Qatar. Great Britain was the first reserve team for the final. Kelly placed 19th in the all-around competition.

2019: Injuries and Team Events

In March 2019, Kelly competed at the English Championships and placed second in the all-around. She was selected for the European Championships but had to withdraw due to a fractured foot.

Despite the injury, Kelly competed at the British Team Championships in September. She placed first in the all-around and helped her club, Dynamo, finish fifth. Kelly was later named as the traveling alternate for the British team at the 2019 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.

2020: Competition Cancelled

Kelly was set to compete at the Stuttgart World Cup in March 2020. However, the event was cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic.

2022: Another Commonwealth Gold

In June 2022, Kelly was selected to represent England at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Her team won the gold medal in the women's team all-around competition. This was another fantastic achievement for Kelly and her teammates.
