Kellyville Ridge is a lively suburb in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It's about 41 kilometres north-west of the main city centre. This area is part of Greater Western Sydney and is managed by the City of Blacktown local council.

History of Kellyville Ridge

The name Kellyville Ridge comes from a natural high point, or ridge, in the northern part of the area. This ridge is a key geographical feature.

Many people believe that the Castle Hill Rebellion happened here. This event is also known as the Second Battle of Vinegar Hill. You can find roads and parks in Kellyville named after it. A special memorial was placed at Castlebrook Lawn Cemetery in 1988.

Kellyville Ridge used to be part of Kellyville. It became its own separate suburb in 2002. This happened when the area west of Windsor Road was given a new name.
