Kelsey Marie Robinson Cook, born on June 25, 1992, is an amazing American volleyball player. She has been a key member of the United States women's national volleyball team since 2014. Kelsey is a three-time Olympian, meaning she has competed in three Olympic Games. She has won a gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Early Life and High School Years
Kelsey grew up in Bartlett, Illinois. She went to St. Francis High School. She finished high school in 2010.
College Volleyball Journey
Kelsey was first asked to play for the University of Nebraska–Lincoln by coach John Cook. But she didn't think she was good enough at the time. So, she played for three years at the University of Tennessee. There, she was named the SEC Player of the Year in 2011.
Later, she transferred to the University of Nebraska. She played there for two years. In 2013, she earned the title of Big Ten Player of the Year. In 2014, she was a finalist for the Honda Sports Award in volleyball. This award recognizes top college athletes.
Professional and International Career Highlights
Kelsey Robinson Cook was part of the USA national team that won the gold medal at the 2014 World Championship. Her team beat China 3–1 in the final match. This was a huge win for the team!
In 2017, Kelsey won a silver medal in the 2016–17 CEV Women's Champions League with her club team, Imoco Volley Conegliano. They lost the final match to VakıfBank Istanbul. Kelsey also won the "Best Outside Spiker" award in that tournament.
In May 2021, Kelsey was chosen for the 18-player team for the FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League tournament. This event took place in Rimini, Italy. It was an important competition before the 2020 Summer Olympics.
On June 7, 2021, the US National Team coach, Karch Kiraly, announced that Kelsey would be on the 12-player Olympic team for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. The USA team made history by winning the gold medal for the first time ever!
Kelsey also played for the US National Team at the 2024 Paris Olympics. There, she helped her team win a silver medal.
