Kenichi Kaga (加賀 健一, Kaga Kenichi, born 30 September 1983) is a Japanese footballer. He plays as a defender for J2 League club Blaublitz Akita.

Kenichi Kaga's Football Journey

Kenichi Kaga was born in Futada, Japan, on September 30, 1983. After finishing high school, he joined a professional football club called Júbilo Iwata in 2002. This was a J1 League club. At first, it was hard for him to get much playing time.

Playing for Consadole Sapporo

In 2005, Kenichi moved to Consadole Sapporo. This was a J2 League club. He played there for two seasons and was a regular player. He played as a central defender.

Returning to Júbilo Iwata

In 2007, Kenichi returned to Júbilo Iwata. He became a regular player for them. From 2009, he played less often. But in 2011, he became a regular player again.

Time at FC Tokyo and Urawa Reds

In 2012, he moved to FC Tokyo. He played many matches as a central defender. However, he was not always a regular starter. In 2015, he joined Urawa Reds. He did not get to play much during his time there.

Playing for Montedio Yamagata

In 2017, Kenichi moved to Montedio Yamagata. This club was in the J2 League. He continued his career there, playing as a defender.

Current Club: Blaublitz Akita

Since 2020, Kenichi Kaga has been playing for Blaublitz Akita. He helped them win the J3 League in 2020. This was a great achievement for the team. He continues to play for them in the J2 League.
