Kerrea Kuche Gilbert, born on February 28, 1987, is a former English professional footballer. He played as a right back, which is a defensive position in football. Gilbert is best known for starting his career at the famous Arsenal Football Club.

Playing Career

Starting at Arsenal

Kerrea Gilbert was born in Willesden, London. He grew up playing in Arsenal's youth and reserve teams. In the 2005–06 season, he got a chance to play for the main team. This happened because some of Arsenal's regular defenders were injured.

Gilbert played his first game for Arsenal on November 29, 2005. It was a League Cup match against Reading. A few days later, on December 7, he played in a big UEFA Champions League game against Ajax Amsterdam. He came on as a substitute when another player got hurt.

Because of the injuries, Gilbert kept playing more games. He started in an FA Cup match against Cardiff City in January 2006. People noticed his speed during these games. He then made his Premier League debut on January 21, 2006, against Everton.

Loan Spells

Football clubs sometimes send players to other teams for a short time. This is called a "loan." It helps players get more experience.

After his time at Arsenal and various loan spells, Gilbert played for a few other clubs.
