Kevin Harris grew up in Hinesville, Georgia. He went to Bradwell Institute for high school. He was a very talented football player there.
High School Achievements
In his junior year, Kevin was named the Georgia Region 2-6A Player of the Year. He ran for 1,680 yards and scored 16 touchdowns. A touchdown is when a player carries the ball into the opponent's end zone.
As a senior, he continued to play very well. He rushed for 1,556 yards and scored 22 touchdowns. He earned the Region 2-6A Player of the Year award for the second year in a row. After high school, Kevin chose to play college football at South Carolina.

Freshman Year Success
In his first year, called his freshman year, he showed great promise. He ran the ball 21 times for a total of 179 yards. He also scored four touchdowns.
Sophomore Season Highlights
During his second year, his sophomore season, Kevin became the main running back for the Gamecocks. In one amazing game against Ole Miss, he ran for 243 yards. This was one of the best rushing performances in his school's history. He also scored five touchdowns in that game.
By the end of his sophomore season, Kevin had rushed for 1,138 yards. He scored 15 rushing touchdowns. He also caught 21 passes for 159 yards and one receiving touchdown.

Joining the New England Patriots
The New England Patriots picked Kevin in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL draft. He was the 183rd player chosen overall. He joined the team in August 2022.
He was first placed on the team's practice squad. This is a group of players who train with the team but are not on the main roster. Later, in October 2022, he was moved to the active roster. This meant he could play in official games.
Rookie Season and First Touchdown
In his first professional season, Kevin played in five games. In a game against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 14, he scored his first professional touchdown. It was a 14-yard run that helped his team win 27–13. He finished his rookie season with 52 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.
