Early Life and High School Basketball
Kevin Jones grew up in Mount Vernon, New York. He went to Mount Vernon High School. Kevin was a star player on his high school basketball team.
High School Achievements
- As a junior, he scored about 21 points and grabbed 12 rebounds per game. He also blocked two shots per game.
- In his senior year, he improved to 23 points and 14 rebounds per game. He still blocked two shots per game.
- Kevin helped lead Mount Vernon High School to win the New York State PHSAA championships in both 2006 and 2007.
College Basketball Career
Kevin Jones played college basketball for the West Virginia Mountaineers. He played there from 2008 to 2012.
Freshman Year (2008–2009)
- In his first year, Kevin scored in double figures in eight games.

- In September 2012, Kevin signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

- Because of his strong performance, the Cavaliers called him back up to play in the NBA.

Return to the G League and International Play (2013–2014)
- Kevin played for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2013 NBA Summer League.
- He later returned to the Canton Charge for the 2013–14 season.
- He was chosen to be an All-Star in the NBA D-League in 2014.
- In March 2014, he left the Charge to play for the San Miguel Beermen in the Philippine Basketball Association.
Playing in Europe (2014–2018)
- In 2014, Kevin joined the Indiana Pacers for the NBA Summer League.
- He then signed with Cholet Basket in France for the rest of the 2014–15 season.
- In October 2015, Kevin signed a one-year contract with Partizan, a team in Serbia.

- In November 2017, Kevin signed with Baskonia in Spain.
- He later finished the 2017–18 season playing for Nanterre 92 in France. He was even named the Most Valuable Player for May in the French league.
Playing in Japan (2018–Present)
- In 2018, Kevin Jones moved to Japan to play for the Ryukyu Golden Kings in the B.League.
- He then played for Alvark Tokyo for two seasons.
- In 2021, he joined the Sun Rockers Shibuya team.
