Early Life and Musical Beginnings
Kevin Michael grew up in Chester, Pennsylvania, in a family with different backgrounds. His father is African-American, and his mother is biracial. This mix had a big impact on him as he grew up. It also became an important message in his later songs.
Kevin taught himself how to sing. He has an amazing voice that can reach five octaves! He looks up to famous artists like Prince, Michael Jackson, and Stevie Wonder as his biggest musical heroes. When he was just 16, he wrote his first song. He has kept writing his own music ever since. Kevin says he loves writing songs just as much as he loves singing them.
