Kevin Von Miller (born March 21, 1955) is a former American football player. He was a wide receiver, which is a player who catches passes. He also played as a return specialist, meaning he returned punts and kickoffs. Kevin played for the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League (NFL). He also played for the Birmingham Stallions in the United States Football League (USFL).

Early Life and College Football
Growing Up in West Virginia
Kevin Von Miller was born on March 21, 1955. His hometown is Weirton, West Virginia. He went to Weir High School there.
Playing for Louisville
Kevin played college football for the Louisville Cardinals. This team is part of the University of Louisville. He played for four years, from 1974 to 1977.
As a freshman in 1974, he caught 25 passes. He gained 361 yards and scored two touchdowns. In 1975, he had 17 catches for 277 yards and two touchdowns. During the 1976 season, Kevin caught 10 passes for 165 yards. He also ran the ball 11 times for 69 yards and scored a touchdown.
In his senior year, 1977, he caught 20 passes for 230 yards and one touchdown. He also ran the ball 13 times for 97 yards. Kevin was also a great return specialist. He returned 29 punts for 223 yards. He also returned 15 kickoffs for 366 yards.
Professional Football Career
Joining the Minnesota Vikings
After college, Kevin Miller was not chosen in the 1978 NFL draft. However, the Minnesota Vikings signed him on May 19, 1978.
In his first year, 1978, he played in all 16 games for the Vikings. He caught one pass for 35 yards and scored a touchdown. Kevin was also a key player for returns. He returned 48 punts for 239 yards. He also returned 40 kickoffs for 854 yards. He led the Vikings in both punt and kick return yards that year. He also played in one playoff game in 1978.
Later Seasons with the Vikings
In 1979, Kevin was placed on injured reserve in August. He was later released in November but re-signed two days later. He played in three games that season. He returned 18 punts for 85 yards.
He played in four games during the 1980 season. The Vikings released him for the last time in August 1981.
Playing in the USFL
