Chef Kevin Rathbun owns several popular restaurants. His main restaurant is called Rathbun's. It is located in a historic building in Atlanta. This building used to be a factory for making stoves!
Where to Eat: Rathbun's Atlanta Locations
Another one of his restaurants is Kevin Rathbun Steak. It is a steakhouse located near the BeltLine in Atlanta. You can even eat outside on the patio there.
He also has Krog Bar, which serves Mediterranean tapas. Tapas are small dishes, perfect for sharing! Krog Bar is in the same building as Rathbun's.
In 2012, Chef Rathbun opened KR Steakbar. This restaurant is in the Peachtree Hills area of Buckhead.

Chef Kevin Rathbun's Journey to Success
Kevin Rathbun grew up in Kansas City. He studied at Johnson County Community College. He started working in restaurants when he was young. His first job was washing dishes!
Working with Famous Chefs
Over the years, Chef Rathbun worked with many well-known chefs. These included Bradley Ogden, Emeril Lagasse, and Stephen Pyles. Learning from them helped him become a great chef.
In 1994, he was nominated for the James Beard "Rising Star Chef" award. This award recognizes talented young chefs.
He helped bring new types of food to Atlanta. He introduced Southwestern cuisine with his restaurant NAVA. Later, he brought fusion cuisine to the city at Bluepointe. From 1999 to 2003, he was in charge of many restaurants for the Buckhead Life Restaurant Group.
Appearing on Television
In February 2008, Kevin Rathbun appeared on Iron Chef America. He competed on the show with his brother, Kent Rathbun, who is also a chef.
