Kevin Alvin Willis (born September 6, 1962) is a former American professional basketball player. He is best known for his time with the Atlanta Hawks in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing 7 feet tall, he played as a power forward and center.
Kevin Willis played for 21 seasons in the NBA. This makes him one of the players with the most seasons played in the league. He won an NBA championship with the San Antonio Spurs in 2003. In 1992, he was chosen for the NBA Eastern Conference All-Star Team. That season, he averaged a career-high 15.5 rebounds per game.
Willis is one of only 15 players in NBA history to have scored over 16,000 points and grabbed over 11,000 rebounds. He was also the oldest player in the league during the 2004–05 season at age 42. He continued playing until he retired at 44 after the 2006–07 season.

Early Life and College Basketball
Kevin Willis was born in Los Angeles, California. He went to Pershing High School in Detroit, Michigan. He joined the basketball team there during his junior year.
After high school, Willis played basketball at Jackson College for one year. He then moved to Michigan State University. He played three seasons for Michigan State while studying fashion and textiles.
Professional Basketball Career
Playing for the Atlanta Hawks (1984–1994)
The Atlanta Hawks picked Kevin Willis in the 1984 NBA draft. He played with the Hawks for nine seasons. On March 11, 1986, he had an amazing game. He scored 39 points and got 21 rebounds against the Denver Nuggets.
Willis was a strong rebounder for the Hawks. He played alongside famous players like Dominique Wilkins, Spud Webb, and Doc Rivers. Together, they often helped the Hawks reach the playoffs.
Moving to Other Teams (1994–2002)
In 1994, Willis was traded to the Miami Heat. After his time with the Heat, he played for several other teams. These included the Golden State Warriors in 1996 and the Houston Rockets from 1996 to 1998.
In 1998, Willis joined the Toronto Raptors. He played there until 2001. He then had a short time with the Denver Nuggets before returning to the Houston Rockets in 2001.
Winning a Championship with the San Antonio Spurs (2002–2004)

Kevin Willis signed with the San Antonio Spurs in 2002. In 2003, his dream came true when he won an NBA Championship ring with the Spurs. This was a big moment in his long career.
Final Seasons and Retirement (2004–2007)
Willis returned to the Atlanta Hawks for one more season in 2004–05. During this season, he was the oldest player in the entire league.
On April 2, 2007, Willis signed a short contract with the Dallas Mavericks. He played five games for them. By playing at age 44, he became one of the oldest players ever to play more than two games in an NBA season.
After the 2006–07 season, Kevin Willis officially retired from playing basketball.
Life After Basketball
After retiring, Kevin Willis focused on his clothing business called Willis & Walker. He started this company in 1988 with his former college teammate, Ralph Walker. The business specializes in making custom clothes for tall and large men.
Willis also made a few appearances on the Spike TV reality show, Pros vs Joes in 2007.
