Kevon Lavelle Harris (born June 24, 1997) is an American professional basketball player. He plays as a shooting guard or small forward. Currently, he plays for the College Park Skyhawks in the NBA G League. Before turning pro, he played college basketball for Stephen F. Austin.

Early Life and High School Basketball

Kevon Harris was born and grew up in Ellenwood, Georgia. He went to Martin Luther King Jr. High School. In his final year, he was a star player. He scored about 15.8 points and grabbed 11.8 rebounds per game. He helped his team achieve a great 24–6 record. They even reached the Class 5A state semifinal.

After high school, Kevon spent an extra year at DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Florida. This helped him prepare for college basketball. He chose to play for Stephen F. Austin. Other colleges like Utah State and Texas A&M also wanted him.

College Career Highlights

Kevon Harris quickly became a key player for the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks. In his first year, he started games and averaged 8.5 points. By his second year, he was scoring 14.5 points per game. He was also named to the second-team All-Southland Conference.

As a junior, his performance got even better. He averaged 17.8 points and 6.5 rebounds. During this season, he scored over 1,000 points in his college career. He thought about joining the 2019 NBA draft but decided to play his senior year at Stephen F. Austin.

In his senior year, Kevon made history for his school. On February 19, he became the all-time leading scorer for Stephen F. Austin in Division I basketball. He passed the record held by Thomas Walkup. After the season, he was named the Southland Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year. He was also on the first-team All-Southland Conference. He finished the season averaging 17.5 points per game.

Professional Basketball Journey

Starting with Raptors 905 (2021–2022)

Kevon Harris was not picked in the 2020 NBA draft. However, he was chosen 11th overall in the January 2021 NBA G League draft. He joined the Raptors 905 team.

In August 2021, Kevon signed with Zadar, a team in Croatia. But he left the team in October 2021. Soon after, he rejoined the Raptors 905 for the rest of the season.

Playing for the Orlando Magic (2022–2024)

Kevon Harris played for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2022 NBA Summer League. He scored 13 points in his first game.

On July 25, 2022, Kevon signed a special contract with the Orlando Magic. This was a two-way contract, which means he could play for both the Magic (NBA) and their G League team. In December, he was briefly suspended for one game. This happened because he left the bench during an argument in a game.

Joining College Park Skyhawks (2024–Present)

On September 18, 2024, Kevon Harris signed a deal with the Atlanta Hawks. However, he was later waived by the team on October 18. On October 26, he found a new team. He joined the College Park Skyhawks, where he plays today.

Kevon Harris has played in the NBA and the G League. In the NBA, he played 36 games for the Orlando Magic. He averaged about 4.0 points per game. He also grabbed about 2.0 rebounds and had 0.5 assists per game.
