His Family and Early Life
Khaled Anam grew up in Karachi and is the youngest of six children. His father was from Madras and served in the British Army. His mother was a teacher and also sang for Radio Pakistan in the 1950s. She was from Sialkot.
Khaled's family loved the arts. He learned to play the guitar and started doing theatre at a young age.
His Education
Khaled Anam studied journalism at the University of Karachi. He earned his Master's degree there. Later, he took special theatre training courses. He learned these skills with Grips Theatre in Germany.
His Own Family
Khaled Anam's wife is Tehmina Khaled. She is a journalist who writes about entertainment. She is also a choreographer. Her father was the actor Latif Charlie. Latif Charlie's father was the famous comedian Noor Mohammed Charlie. Tehmina's mother, Masooma Shah, was one of the first actresses for PTV.
Khaled and Tehmina have two sons, Ammar and Komail Anam. Both of their sons are musicians. Komail is also an actor. He started his acting career in the Hum TV show Chamak Damak.
