Khatib MRT station (NS14) is a train station in Singapore. It is part of the MRT system. This station is on the North South line, located in Yishun. The train tracks between Khatib and Yio Chu Kang MRT station are the longest on the North South line.

A Look Back: Khatib Station's History
How Khatib Station Got Its Name
Khatib MRT station wasn't always called Khatib. Its first name was Nee Soon South. In January 1987, the station was renamed Khatib. This happened at the same time Yishun MRT station also got its new name. Yishun station was first called Nee Soon.
Station Upgrades Over Time
In 1990, a power problem at Yishun station affected trains here. Later, in 2002, the lifts at Khatib station were upgraded. This work was finished by January 10, 2003.
New half-height screen doors were added to the platforms. They started working on September 30, 2011. Large, slow-moving fans were also installed. These fans began running on August 28, 2012, to keep the station cool.
