Kiera Van Ryk, born on January 6, 1999, is a talented Canadian volleyball player. She plays for the Canadian national women's volleyball team. Kiera has competed in big international events like the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship and the 2018 Women's Pan-American Volleyball Cup. She also played in the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women's Challenger Cup.

Kiera's University Volleyball Career
Kiera Van Ryk played U Sports women's volleyball for the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds. She played for two seasons, from 2017 to 2019. In her first year, she helped her team win a Bronze medal at the 2018 U Sports Women's Volleyball Championship.
Her second year was amazing! She won the Mary Lyons Award as the best U Sports women's volleyball player. She also received the Lieutenant Governor Athletic Award. This award is given to the best female athlete in all of U Sports for the 2018–19 season. That year, Kiera and the Thunderbirds won a national championship. They won the 2019 U Sports Women's Volleyball Championship, and Kiera was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament.
Kiera's Professional Volleyball Journey
After her successful university career, Kiera Van Ryk became a professional volleyball player. In 2019, she signed with Volley Bergamo, a team in the top Italian Women's Volleyball League Serie A1.
In 2020, Kiera left Volley Bergamo and returned to Canada. This was due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She then joined KS DevelopRes Rzeszów in Poland for the 2020–21 season. This team plays in the Tauron Liga. For the 2021–22 season, she played for Türk Hava Yolları SK in the Turkish Women's Volleyball League.
Kiera joined the Turkish club VakıfBank S.K. in 2024. She continues to play at a high level internationally.
About Kiera's Life
Kiera Van Ryk went to Surrey Christian School. She has two older sisters named Jocelyn and Amy. Kiera is also a big fan of dogs!
