Kiera Van Ryk, born on January 6, 1999, is a talented Canadian volleyball player. She is a key member of the Canadian women's national volleyball team. Kiera has played in major events like the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship and the 2018 Women's Pan-American Volleyball Cup.

University Volleyball Career
Kiera played university volleyball for the University of British Columbia (UBC) Thunderbirds team. She played for two seasons, from 2017 to 2019.
First Season Success
In her first year, Kiera helped her team win a bronze medal. This was at the 2018 U Sports Women's Volleyball Championship.
Award-Winning Second Season
Her second year was truly amazing! Kiera won the Mary Lyons Award, which means she was named the best university volleyball player in Canada. She also received the Lieutenant Governor Athletic Award. This award recognized her as the top female athlete across all Canadian universities for the 2018–19 season.
That same year, Kiera and the Thunderbirds won a national championship. They took home the title at the 2019 U Sports Women's Volleyball Championship. Kiera was even named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament!
Professional Volleyball Journey
After her successful university career, Kiera decided to become a professional volleyball player.
Playing in Italy and Poland
In 2019, she joined Volley Bergamo, a team in the top Italian Women's Volleyball League. She had to return to Canada in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Later, she joined KS DevelopRes Rzeszów in Poland for the 2020–21 season.
Playing in Turkey
For the 2021–22 season, Kiera played for Türk Hava Yolları SK in the Turkish Women's Volleyball League. In 2024, she joined another Turkish club, VakıfBank S.K..
About Kiera's Life
Kiera went to Surrey Christian School. She has two older sisters named Jocelyn and Amy. Kiera also loves dogs very much!
