Kikash is a tall mountain in Peru. It is also known as Pampash. The name Kikash comes from the Quechua language, which is spoken by many people in the Andes mountains. Pampash means "large plain" in a local type of Quechua.
This mountain is part of the Wallanka mountain range. It stands about 5,338 meters (or 17,513 feet) high. That's taller than many famous skyscrapers!
Where is Kikash Mountain Located?
Kikash is found in the Andes mountains of Peru. Specifically, it is in the Ancash Region, within the Bolognesi Province. You can find it near the Aquia District.
The mountain is located southwest of the main Wallanka range. It's part of a smaller group of peaks called Waman Wiqi. Waman Wiqi means "falcon tear" or "hawk tear" in Quechua.
What's Around Kikash?
Near Kikash, there is a small lake also named Waman Wiqi. It's located southeast of the mountain.
A stream called Pampash starts on the western side of Kikash. This stream flows west until it reaches the Patiwillka River.
