Kim Jung-nam (Hangul: 김정남; Hanja: 金正男; born January 28, 1943) is a famous South Korean football player and manager. He was known for his strong defense as a player. Later, he became a very successful coach for many teams.

Playing for His Country
Kim Jung-nam was a key player for the South Korean national team. He and his teammate Kim Ho were considered one of the best defensive pairs ever. They were great at stopping opposing teams from scoring.
In 1962, Kim Jung-nam played for the South Korean youth team. He was also chosen to play for the senior national team that same year. He stayed on the national team until 1973. During this time, he played in 67 international matches. He even won a gold medal at the 1970 Asian Games.
Coaching Successes
After he stopped playing, Kim Jung-nam became a football manager. He coached the national team for the 1986 FIFA World Cup qualification. Thanks to his coaching, South Korea made it to the FIFA World Cup for the first time in 32 years! This was a huge achievement for the country.
At the 1986 FIFA World Cup, Kim's team played against tough opponents. They lost to Argentina and Italy. They also had a draw with Bulgaria. After the World Cup, he led the team to win another gold medal at the 1986 Asian Games.
Kim Jung-nam is known for winning the most games as a manager in the K League. He has an amazing 210 victories. He also led his teams to win two K League titles.
Family Life
Kim Jung-nam has two younger twin brothers, Kang-nam and Sung-nam. They also became national football players, just like him!
