Early Life and Education
Kimberly Chia finished her studies at Compassvale Secondary School in 2011. She had hoped to go to LASALLE College of the Arts to study acting. However, her exam results were not quite what she expected.
Because of this, Kimberly decided to study at the Singapore Institute of Management. She earned a diploma in Management Studies there.
Career Highlights
Kimberly started her career very early, becoming a model at just three years old! She appeared in many print advertisements. She also walked the runway in fashion shows.
Later, she learned dancing, singing, and acting. When she was nine, she began acting in TV dramas for Mediacorp. Her first big role was in the show Fighting Spiders in 2009.
Kimberly became very popular after starring in the drama On the Fringe 2011. After that, she got a role in the Singaporean movie Timeless Love. This movie was directed by Lim Koong Hwee and Dasmond Koh.
In 2013, Kimberly became a spokesperson for some big brands. She promoted Norton 360 Multi-Device with Xu Bin and Aloysius Pang. She also promoted Osim's uSlender product.
In December 2015, Kimberly announced she would take a break from acting. She wanted to attend acting classes for two years. During this time, she would not be in any new dramas.
On January 1, 2016, Kimberly released her first song. It was called Love Radio (爱情 Radio). This was her first time singing professionally.
Between 2016 and 2018, Kimberly worked as an air stewardess for Singapore Airlines.
In 2018, Kimberly returned to acting. She appeared in a Toggle drama series called Love at Cavenagh Bridge. In this show, she played a couple with Aloysius Pang. She also acted in a Channel 8 drama called Say Cheese. Here, she played a couple with Zong Zijie.
Kimberly also took on another supporting role. This was in a Channel 8 drama called Heart To Heart.
Personal Life
Kimberly Chia got married in 2021 to a businessman. At the same time, she shared exciting news: she was expecting her first child! On May 4, 2022, Kimberly announced that she had given birth to a baby boy.
