Early Life and School
Kimberly Chia finished her studies at Compassvale Secondary School in 2011. She wanted to go to LASALLE College of the Arts after that. However, her grades for the GCE 'O' Levels were not as high as she hoped. Because of this, she decided to study at the Singapore Institute of Management. There, she earned a diploma in Management Studies.
Kimberly's Career
Kimberly started her career very young, becoming a model at just three years old. She appeared in many print advertisements for different companies. She also walked the runway in fashion shows. As she grew older, she learned dancing, singing, and acting. When she was nine, she began acting in dramas for Mediacorp.
First Big Roles
Kimberly got her first important acting role in the drama Fighting Spiders in 2009. She became very well-known after starring in the drama On the Fringe 2011. After that, she was cast in a Singaporean movie called Timeless Love. This movie was directed by Lim Koong Hwee and Dasmond Koh.
Endorsements and Music
In March 2013, Kimberly became a spokesperson for Norton 360 Multi-Device. She worked alongside actors Xu Bin and Aloysius Pang. In May 2013, she also became a spokesperson for Osim's uSlender product.
In December 2015, Kimberly shared that she would take a break from acting in dramas for two years. She planned to attend acting courses during this time. On January 1, 2016, Kimberly released her first song, Love Radio. This was her official debut as a singer.
Return to Acting
Between 2016 and 2018, Kimberly worked as a flight attendant for Singapore Airlines. In 2018, she returned to acting. She appeared in a Toggle drama series called Love at Cavenagh Bridge. In this show, she played a couple with Aloysius Pang. She also acted in a Channel 8 drama called Say Cheese. In Say Cheese, she played a couple with Zong Zijie. Kimberly also had a supporting role in another Channel 8 drama called Heart To Heart.
Personal Life
Kimberly Chia got married in 2021 to a businessman. She also announced that she was going to have her first child. On May 4, 2022, Kimberly shared the happy news that she had given birth to a baby boy.
