Kimberly Williams-Paisley is a talented American actress. She is famous for her roles in popular movies like Father of the Bride (1991) and Father of the Bride Part II (1995). She also starred in TV shows such as According to Jim and Nashville. Kimberly has been acting since she was young. She has also directed and written some films. She is married to country music star Brad Paisley. Her sister, Ashley Williams, is also an actress.

Early Life and Education
Kimberly Williams-Paisley was born in Rye, New York. Her mother, Linda, was a fund-raiser, which means she helped collect money for good causes. Her father, Gurney Williams III, was a writer who focused on health and science. Kimberly has a sister, Ashley, and a brother, Jay.
She started acting when she was just 13 years old. In 1989, she directed a musical show at her high school. Kimberly went to Northwestern University to study drama. She took a break from college during her second year to act in the movie Father of the Bride in 1991. But she later went back to finish her degree.
Acting Career Highlights
Kimberly Williams-Paisley's big break came when she played Annie Banks in Father of the Bride (1991). She acted alongside famous stars like Steve Martin and Diane Keaton. She returned for the sequel, Father of the Bride Part II (1995).
She also appeared in other movies like Indian Summer (1993) and Coldblooded (1995). In 1996, she got a main role in the TV drama Relativity. Even though critics liked her acting, the show ended after 17 episodes.
In 2000, Kimberly starred as Virginia in the fantasy TV miniseries The 10th Kingdom. From 2001 to 2008, she played Dana in the TV comedy According to Jim. She acted with Jim Belushi and Courtney Thorne-Smith in this show. She left after seven seasons but came back for the final episode.
Kimberly has also acted in many TV movies. These include Safe House, The Christmas Shoes, and Lucky 7. She also had guest roles in TV shows like Boston Legal and Royal Pains. In 2006, she appeared in the movie We Are Marshall with Matthew McConaughey.
From 2012 to 2013, Williams-Paisley had a recurring role as Peggy Kenter in the TV drama Nashville. In 2015, she was in the movie Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip.
Writing and Directing
Besides acting, Kimberly has also worked behind the scenes. She wrote and directed a short film called Shade. She also directed three episodes of the TV show According to Jim.
Kimberly wrote a book called Where the Light Gets In. It was published in 2016. The book shares the story of her mother's illness, which was a type of dementia. Her mother passed away in November 2016.
Personal Life
On March 15, 2003, Kimberly Williams married country music singer Brad Paisley. They have two sons together. Their first son was born in February 2007, and their second son was born in April 2009. The family lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
