Kimberlyn Duncan, born on August 2, 1991, is an amazing American track and field athlete. She is best known for her incredible speed in sprint races. Her main events are the 100 meters and 200 meters.
In 2013, Kimberlyn became the American champion in the 200 meters. She even beat Olympic champion Allyson Felix with a very strong finish! Her time of 21.80 seconds in that race was super fast. However, it was helped by the wind.

Early Life and College Success
Kimberlyn grew up in Katy, Texas. She was a star athlete at Cypress Springs High School. After high school, she went to Louisiana State University (LSU). There, she joined the LSU Lady Tigers track and field team.
At LSU, Kimberlyn made history. She was the first woman to win the 200 meters at the NCAA Championships two times in a row. She won both the indoor and outdoor titles!
Her amazing college career earned her top awards. In 2012, she received The Bowerman. This is the highest award a college track and field athlete can get. She also won the Honda Sports Award in both 2011 and 2012. This award recognizes the best female track and field athlete in the nation.
Major Competitions and Achievements
Kimberlyn has competed in many important races around the world.
International Races
In 2012, she competed at the 2012 NACAC Under-23 Championships in Athletics. She won the 200 meters race and set a new record. She also helped the USA team win the 4x100 metres relay. A few weeks later, she helped the USA "Blue" team set a meet record at the Herculis event.
Kimberlyn has also represented the United States at the World Championships.
- In 2013, she finished 12th in the 200 meters at the World Championships in Moscow.
- In 2017, she placed 6th in the 200 meters at the World Championships in London.
USA National Championships
Kimberlyn has had great success at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. These championships decide who is the best in the United States.

- In 2017, she won another silver medal in the 200 meters.
