Kimberlyn Duncan, born on August 2, 1991, is an amazing American track and field athlete. She is known for her super-fast running in sprint races. In 2013, she became the American champion in the 200-meter race. She even beat Olympic champion Allyson Felix with an incredible finish!
Her winning time of 21.80 seconds was super fast! It happened at the 2013 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. This time would have been one of the fastest ever, but it had a little help from the wind.

Kimberlyn's Early Life and College Success
Kimberlyn was a fantastic athlete at Cypress Springs High School in Katy, Texas. She graduated in 2009. After high school, she ran track for Louisiana State University.
Making History at College
At LSU, Kimberlyn made history! She was the first woman to win the NCAA Championships 200-meter race two times in a row. She won both the indoor and outdoor titles.
Top College Awards
Kimberlyn received The Bowerman award in 2012. This is the highest award a college track and field athlete can get. She also won the Honda Sports Award in both 2011 and 2012. This award goes to the best female track and field athlete in the nation.
Kimberlyn's Professional Career Highlights
After college, Kimberlyn continued to compete at a high level. She showed her speed in many important races.
Winning at NACAC and Herculis
At the 2012 NACAC Under-23 Championships in Athletics, she won the 200 meters again. She set a new record there! She also helped the USA 4 × 100 metres relay team win gold. A few weeks later, she helped the USA "Blue" team set a new record at the Herculis meet.
USA Championships Performances
Kimberlyn competed in many USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Here are some of her top results:
- In 2013, she won the gold medal in the 200 meters.
- In 2014, she earned a silver medal in the 200 meters.
- In 2017, she won another silver medal in the 200 meters.
She also competed in the 100 meters at these championships.
