History of the Mosque
The King Abdul Aziz Mosque was paid for by Saudi Arabia. It is named after Ibn Saud, who was the first king of Saudi Arabia. This mosque, along with others in Fuengirola and Malaga, received money from Saudi Arabia.
The construction of the mosque was ordered by Prince Salman. He wanted to honor King Fahd, who often visited Marbella. This connection shows the friendly ties between Spain and Saudi Arabia.
