These included The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and American Bandstand. He also appeared on The Mike Douglas Show and Dinah!. You might have seen him on The Midnight Special or Don Kirshner's Rock Concert. He was also a guest on game shows like The Hollywood Squares and Make Me Laugh. His comedy was also heard on the Dr. Demento radio show. Kip Addotta often opened shows for famous stars. He performed before Diana Ross, Paul Anka, and Liza Minnelli. Kip Addotta married his first wife, Mary, in 1962. They had two children together. Later, he had another child with his second wife, Lynn. When he was 27, Kip moved his family to Los Angeles. He wanted to try becoming a comedian. After performing at The Comedy Store, his career took off.

Kip Addotta was a father of three children. Their names are Victor, Katheryn, and Frank. He also had three grandchildren. Kip Addotta passed away on August 13, 2019, at age 75.
