Kirk Patrick Snyder (born June 5, 1983) is an American former professional basketball player. He played in the NBA for several teams.

Kirk Snyder's College Basketball Journey
Kirk Snyder grew up in Upland, California. He played college basketball at the University of Nevada. In 2004, he helped his team, the Nevada Wolf Pack, reach the "Sweet 16" in the NCAA tournament. This was a big achievement for the team.
During that tournament, the Wolf Pack beat strong teams like Gonzaga and Michigan State. They eventually lost to Georgia Tech in the third round. Georgia Tech later became the national runner-up that year.
Playing Professional Basketball
Kirk Snyder was chosen in the first round of the 2004 NBA draft. The Utah Jazz picked him as the 16th overall player. After playing one season with the Jazz, he was traded to the New Orleans Hornets.
In New Orleans, Snyder started many games during his only season there (2005–06). He scored his highest number of points in a single game, 28, against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He played almost 20 minutes per game in 68 games. After this, he was traded to the Houston Rockets.
Later, in 2008, Snyder was traded again to the Minnesota Timberwolves. His time with the Timberwolves was his last playing in the NBA. His final NBA game was on April 16, 2008. In that game, the Timberwolves won against the Milwaukee Bucks. Snyder scored 6 points, grabbed 3 rebounds, and made 2 assists.
After his NBA career, Snyder played basketball in other countries. He joined the Chinese Basketball Association's Zhejiang Horses in 2008. He also played for the Halifax Rainmen in Canada in 2011. In March 2011, he signed with BC Nizhny Novgorod in Russia.

Kirk Snyder married his college girlfriend, Haley Dahl. They had three children together. Haley is the cousin of NFL player Harvey Dahl, who also went to the University of Nevada. Kirk and Haley later divorced.
