Kiyonosuke Marutani (丸谷 清之介) was a Japanese football player. He was known for playing as a Midfielder. He also played for the Japanese national football team.
Club Career
Kiyonosuke Marutani played football for a team called Osaka SC. This club was started by graduates from his old high school. Many other players who later joined the Japanese national team also played for Osaka SC at that time. Some of these players included Yoshimatsu Oyama, Toshio Miyaji, Uichiro Hatta, and Sakae Takahashi.
Playing for Japan
In May 1925, Kiyonosuke Marutani was chosen to play for the Japanese national team. He joined the team for the 1925 Far Eastern Championship Games. This big sports event took place in Manila.
