Discover the Klagetoh Chapter House

The Klagetoh Chapter House is found in the small town of Klagetoh. This town is located between Ganado and Chambers on United States Route 191. The chapter house sits west of the main highway. It has a nice outdoor area with plants, dedicated to Navajo Nation military members.

Building Features and Design

The building is made of local sandstone, which was gathered and built by members of the chapter. It has one floor and is shaped like a square. The roof is shaped like a pyramid and has a small tower, called a cupola, in the middle. The main door faces east. This is a traditional Navajo way of building.

Inside, most of the building is a large meeting room. There are also restrooms, a kitchen, and storage areas on one side. A big stone fireplace is at one end of the room. At the other end, there is a raised area for speakers.
