About Klaus Meine
Klaus Meine wrote most of the lyrics for Scorpions' songs. He also worked with former Scorpions drummer Herman Rarebell on some lyrics. One of their famous songs together is "Rock You Like a Hurricane".
Klaus wrote several songs by himself. These include "Wind of Change", "You and I", and "Who We Are". He also played guitar on two Scorpions songs: "Coast to Coast" and "Follow Your Heart".
Overcoming Challenges
After a world tour in 1981, Klaus Meine had a serious problem with his voice. He was recording the album Blackout when he almost completely lost his voice. Doctors even suggested he might need to find a new job.
However, the Scorpions band stayed together and supported him. After getting therapy and having two surgeries on his vocal cords, Klaus's voice got better. He was able to continue singing with the band.
