Klutter was a fun cartoon segment that appeared on the TV show Eek! Stravaganza. It ran during the show's fourth season from 1995 to 1996. You could watch it on the Fox Kids channel.

The show was created by David Silverman and Savage Steve Holland. The animation team also worked on another Fox show called The Critic. Klutter was a team effort between Fox Children's Productions, Savage Studios, and Film Roman. Six episodes of the segment were made.

The story follows two brothers, Ryan and Wade Heap. They really wanted a pet, but their dad was allergic to animals. So, they came up with a creative solution! They decided to make their own pet. They used static electricity to bring a pile of junk to life. This new, unusual pet was named Klutter.

The show also features their younger sister, Sandee Heap. She felt a bit lonely before Klutter joined their family. The Heap kids and Klutter often went on exciting adventures. They solved mysteries and helped save animals. It was a bit like the famous cartoon Scooby-Doo.

Meet the Characters

Klutter

Klutter is the main character of the show. He is a pet made from a pile of clothes and junk. Ryan and Wade Heap brought him to life using static electricity. Klutter acts a lot like a dog. He often licks people's faces and barks to warn the group about danger. Sometimes, Ryan, Wade, and their friends don't notice Klutter's warnings right away. Klutter's owners' parents do not know that he exists. Kirk Thatcher provided Klutter's voice.

Ryan Heap

Ryan Heap is the oldest of the Heap children. He dreams of becoming a reporter, just like his father. However, his dad often laughs at his ideas. Ryan believes exciting things are happening, but his dad thinks they are not real. Ryan was the leader of the group. His hair color would change in almost every episode. Cam Clarke was the voice of Ryan.

Wade Heap

Wade Heap is the middle child in the family. He has a calm attitude and is usually very quiet. He doesn't say much, but he has a unique, low, and slightly geeky voice. Savage Steve Holland, who helped create the show, voiced Wade.

Kopp

Kopp is a very energetic and sometimes paranoid character. He can also be a bit lazy. He has a not-so-secret crush on Vanna. Kopp was based on a real person, Bill Kopp, who couldn't work on the Klutter show. Michael Zorek provided Kopp's voice.

Sandee Heap

Sandee Heap is the youngest of the Heap children. She is a preschooler. Before Klutter arrived, she felt lonely. Klutter helped to brighten her day. Sandee is known for her very high-pitched voice. Her voice was provided by Sandy Fox, whose name sounds just like Sandee's.

Vanna Erving

Vanna Erving is Ryan, Wade, and Sandee's neighbor. She lives right next door. Vanna is very smart and is often a teacher's pet. She can sometimes be mean or bossy. She often gets annoyed by Klutter and Kopp's silly actions. Sometimes, she acts like a brat. Halle Stanford was the voice of Vanna.

John Heap

John Heap is the father of Ryan, Wade, and Sandee. He works as a news reporter. He often says that his town is boring. However, exciting and sometimes scary things happen when he isn't looking. The show's co-creator, David Silverman, provided his voice.

Andrea Heap

Andrea Heap is the mother of Ryan, Wade, and Sandee. She wants Ryan and Wade to focus on growing up. She also wants them to pick up their "Klutter" (mess) off the floor! She is a bit like a ditsy mom from the 1960s. She also works at a library. Kathy Ireland voiced Andrea.
