Knappa is a small community in Oregon, United States. It's located right next to the big Columbia River in Clatsop County. Knappa is about 12 miles (19 km) east of a city called Astoria. The community of Knappa got its name from an early settler named Aaron Knapp Jr. He was one of the first people to live there. Knappa even had its own post office for many years, from 1872 until 1943.
