Koharu Sugawara (born on February 14, 1992) is a talented Japanese dancer, choreographer, and model. She was born in Sanmu, Chiba Prefecture, Japan. Koharu is known for her unique dance style and has worked with many famous artists around the world.

Her Dance Journey
Koharu Sugawara started dancing when she was about 10 years old, around 2002. As a teenager, she won several dance competitions. Some of these included "Dance Attack" and "Shonen Chample."
After finishing middle school in 2007, she continued her dance studies. She attended VAW Eikō High School for dance. In 2010, after high school, she moved to Los Angeles to learn even more about dance. In 2013, she worked with the sports brand Nike as a dancer. She later appeared in their advertisements too.
Working as a Choreographer and Backup Dancer
When Koharu returned to Japan, she began working as a choreographer and a backup dancer. A choreographer is someone who creates dance routines. A backup dancer performs with a main artist during shows or music videos.
She has been a backup dancer for many popular artists. These include 2NE1, Girls' Generation, Koda Kumi, Exile, SMAP, Namie Amuro, Rihanna, and Daichi Miura.
